More formal catalog of campaigns and participation process?
« on: December 31, 2016, 05:27:39 PM »
I was thinking it might be useful if people who want to help out could see a more organized structure for the various campaigns.  We have the TST campaigns page but mostly those listings do not include information about how to support the campaign other than donations.  We have this subforum "notable current issues" and the subforum "ways people can help", but both subforums are disorganized and do not seem to have any concentrated discussion of active campaigns and how to engage in them.

I suggest a tree similar to forum/subforum/thread or PC file folder trees.
From the top:

TST forum
----Campaigns by name
------Local (separate headings for each local charter participating in that campaign)
--------Pinned FAQ for each national/local instance including:
Name of the charter that authorized or recognized the campaign
Contact info for the person in charge of representing the campaign within that charter
Links to individual actions people can take (letters to senators, letters to school boards, etc.)
Pinned thread of things or services the campaign needs
Pinned thread of ongoing opportunities for service
Open threads for discussion.

Is this something we could make happen?  Anyone else have ideas about this?
Now more than ever.
