Chicago Chapter / Chapter Forming - Feedback from National Council
« on: September 10, 2016, 08:38:59 AM »
We're unofficially but officially...  known to be starting this chapter as of meow ~9/2016.  I think what the national council wants is to have a strong demon-stration that the people are serious about this.  I've been in the application process for what i think is over a year now and getting feedback a gray "go".

I've started a Facebook Group (working on Graphics) here:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheSatanicTempleChicago/

I'd rally there for now.  Also there's a couple other spots i'm recruiting and admin.

https://www.meetup.com/ChicagoOccult/

https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=2219702

The national org is really pushing for the Satanic after school programs.  I wouldn't think this is an "inaugural event" but there's that and I've been (even outside of TST) having a "Mark of the Beast" party as a few months ago i bought about 400 injectable RFID's (and have one in my hand).

The idea is such an event cause does need to root in TST tenets.

However... I FUCKING NEED HELP.

If you know/get to know me i have a bagillion things going on.  I'm preparing a federal filing to fight for plural marriage with a civil rights attorney, i have a son; a 6 month old fucking PIG you may have seen wandering around the city (an all black guinea hog), i'm in the process of finding a distribution warehouse for Satanic/art space/home for my pig, working on wicked/vile patents, have a day job (electrical engineer), using people on upwork to get a lot of technical stuff done like websites and graphic design, getting bonded titles for my two Satanic Cushman/Westcoaster Mailsters, own 2 RV's in Nevada and run a small business kinda sorta with that...  Lately i've been designing things to restrain my son so he doesn't destroy the apartment.

I'm ALSO LOOKING FOR ROOMMATES.  RENT IS CHEAP at at Western and Chicago in a desirable spot.  If you don't know or heard of it, I'm THIS GUY and have had this out for months.  Oh... the mess... the mess...

If we get chapters overseas in like say... Syria, i think this is a way people can apply for Green Cards as a religious worker.

I'm not even sure if there has to be "chapters" overseas but just people being ministers and backed?

"They're bringing in Satanic Syrians!!!"

Notable current issues and proposed campaigns / Re: Mobile Abortion center
« on: December 13, 2015, 06:07:41 PM »
Abortions are actually a very small part of the services that Planned Parenthood provides. The high focus on abortions is being used as a rallying point to strip women of their care and choices. Not to mention the high amount of violence regularly perpetrated against facilities that provide these services. So yes, it would be a high security risk and, in my opinion, would not advance the pro choice cause. I believe it would come off as flippant, regardless of intentions.

Infographic of PP services rendered: https://img.washingtonpost.com/wp-apps/imrs.php?src=https://img.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/files/2015/08/Planned-Parenthood-Services.png&w=1484

I understand PP doesn't actually provide said services but maybe they know if it's been done or attempted.  However, PP does probably have working relationships and lines of communication with said providers.

I thought about this further.  I would claim there are scenarios where this would be a greater security risk.  For example, in a dense suburban area.  However, in areas that are more likely to have limited access to abortion (typically rural areas), it could be a potential security improvement.  Reason being is at a clinic as you may know, the distance from the buildings and "public space" such as a sidewalk is rather close.  However, if for example a patient was on a larger piece of property, one can typically "see people coming" long before coming into close contact.  Thus security could be posted watching for trespassers.  Someone that is going to get violent on the "crew" are likely to do just the same at a stationary clinic or a mobile clinic.

I'm personally not too concerned about the flippant perception.  Those who oppose abortion are going to manipulate the situation whatever way they want.  Those who support can probably see it could be a useful tool long as there's no legal issues based on the location where said service is actually provided.  I see red cross "blood mobiles" where people can go in trailers to have blood drawn.  I don't know what the facility requirements are with this procedure and probably varies state to state.

If scheduling could be performed, said mobile center could actually go out to areas into a region and help increase access in those areas.  In states like Texas where these silly "hospital admitting privilages" are required, I'd assume if the doctor had admitting privileges at said stationary clinic, those would be attached to the doctor and not the actual brick and mortar place.

Wacky idea:

http://kwqc.com/2015/11/12/louisiana-bishop-converts-ambulance-into-mobile-confession-booth/

There's licensed mobile health clinics right?  So why couldn't there be a mobile abortion clinic?  I'm sure the rig would get stalked but maybe if followed "protesters" could then be charged with harassment?  Maybe this is a way to get around limitations of access however obviously has zoning and code issues (can this procedure be done in a mobile clinic)?

Set up the clinic in a patients or authorized (friend, relative, partner health clinic, planned parenthood supporters driveway)?  I don't know what licensing is necessary for providing an abortion service above a common health clinic or if it's just a doctor specialty?

I wonder if anyone at Planned Parenthood has really considered this?  Maybe it's a security issue?  Reach out to other orgs folks!

Okay, I get the picture now. What would you think of recording those proceedings and putting them on e.g. YouTube or Vimeo under a permissive license so that others can reuse the same masses? Since I would think in the beginning there would probably not be enough people with the skills and material to provide one mass a week.

I'm not sure if it'd be youtube or like maybe like a cam girl style service?  The business model is out there and if all else I suspect people would pay for said entertainment.  I'm pretty sure i once lived in a house that the previous owner was a minister and had similar online church services he remotely broadcast from his basement.

If all else it'd be funny to hear about people in the media joining said online mass digitally to protest and get muted.  Then they watch in and it's just a bunch of us singing kareoke together.  It could be just like "religious group study" with group participation.  Meaning we read a few pages from the Satanic bible and discuss the meaning.  I gather this is done similarly in other religious sunday school and whatnot.  Give it variety.  I mean although the TST isn't supernatural, the rituals the CoS lay out could be occasionally performed.

Its probably just cloning a similar idea that is out there.  I mean there's google hangouts and fuse meetings that give the tools, but perhaps the "collection basket" be via something fun like bitcoin, dogecoin, whatever...

The idea would be since there's many less Satanic members in the world, we can connect on a specific time online eliminating the distance to a common facility aspect right?

Chicago Chapter / Re: Welcome
« on: December 12, 2015, 09:34:23 AM »
I think there's a new Facebook group for Chicago members to stay in touch. I didn't pay much attention, since it doesn't concern me, but I'm sure someone can provide the link on the TST Facebook group.

Not TST but...

This chapter feels "dead".   I know there's a pause on new chapters but this is kind of goofy we can't get a Chicago chapter that's active but then have some rather minor cities with ones...

I mean, there's crews here that could be tapped.  I'm pretty confident there's people who might be interested or identify themselves as Satanists such as folks in the Rat Patrol.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/6639229434/members/

Pages have been made (not TST but Satanic) that are very slowly gaining members and have really Chicago specific artwork:

https://www.facebook.com/SatanistsofChicago/?fref=ts

There's going to be something big in the next 6 months... i assure you all.

Satanic Panic / Re: "Zombie nativity" being severely fined by town
« on: December 12, 2015, 09:06:13 AM »
I made a thread about this in the Campaigns forum. I think it's ridiculous and unjust. For a religion that worships a guy that rose from the dead they sure are hating on Zombie Jesus. I'd like to help the creator of the display.

Try and cross link your posts when doing so (put the link in this post and visa versa).  It helps communication.

Satanic Panic / Wikipedia: A diatribe against Satanism
« on: December 12, 2015, 09:01:17 AM »
Pulled from a TST forum post:

http://thefriendsofsatan.com/index.php?topic=925.0

They basically railroaded quite a few accounts and even revered the fucking Wikiproject Satanism back to "blank" after trying to just use it for what it is... a brainstorming space:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Satanism

These accounts were created to promote the project, some just to reserve usernames for those people.  The admins attacked it with a frivolous claim of "sock/meat puppets".  I mean who on earth would sign up to help contribute to Satanic pages right?  This is absurd.  that Rklawton is the worst and obviously has his motives.  For a person of his "accreditation" you'd think he'd be a better thinker.  It's kind of dumb to make such a move.  Does anyone want their 15 minutes of fame being something like this?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Rklawton

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Barfbag666

So basically if someone wanted to say, give those accounts to the actual person who's name they were created for, they'd be blocked (indefinitely) from posting.  It's OBVIOUS through the original poster the initial person wasn't vandalizing pages yet was targeted so these admins are using loose guidelines to gag/censor satanic pages.  Yes, i know...  Malcom Jarry is spelled wrong but it's easily changed as Wikipedia kind of reserves "similar" usernames.  Which is funny as if one follows the claims against the original "Barfbag666" some of them are claiming said user is "just promoting the TST".  If Barfbag666 was doing that and not just generically improving Satanism articles, doesn't one think that user would know how to spell "Malcom Jarry" properly?

Wikipedia needs major correction.

You'll see the problem here:

The current explanation is not just fictional but it's science fiction.

Names of 2000+ experts (including me) appear on this petition.  We are "experts".

https://bookofbadarguments.com/

If you read the Satanic Bible page 27 (unmarked) "The Infernal Diatribe"

Diatribe:

di·a·tribe ˈdīəˌtrīb, noun

A forceful and bitter verbal attack against someone or something.

"a diatribe against the Roman Catholic Church"

There is a diatribe against Satanism on Wikipedia.  Wikipedia is the modern encyclopedia; in print is dead.  We cannot let "those people" write the encyclopedia based on their and their only points of view.

The "Wikiproject: Satanism" project has been blanked out.  It's supposed to be a workspace for the group:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Satanism

Wikipedia Admins are using procedural "guidelines" to block Satanic writers:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Barfbag666

Some of those people know each other, some do not.  Some of those names were just reserved should the pen names be wanted in the future (no posts made with them).  They're gagging Satanism based on recent coordinated interest.  Note the names of those admins.

Help.

Ways People Can Help / Re: Wikipedia: Lucien Greaves

Personally i think it'd be funny (not sure if it'd stay) to put his gender with a citation linking to a photo of his dick.

This article says that Lucien is 40, but the Wikipedia article says he was born in '85. Any confirmation on the age?

http://www.salon.com/2015/11/01/all_hail_the_satanic_temple_up_close_with_the_brilliant_satanists_who_drive_the_faith_deranged_nuts/

He's 40.

I put a draft up and then got into a bitch fest with admins on him and many other Satanic articles being "notable".  It was actually pretty decent.  However, we need a photo that the TST authorizes to use (copyright) or go after the "fair use" term.

They basically railroaded quite a few accounts and even revered the fucking Wikiproject Satanism back to "blank" after trying to just use it for what it is... a brainstorming space:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Satanism

Some of these were created to simply park on them so others couldn't abuse, a couple are me or people i know, ironically i have no clue who a few others are.  I think they were people that created accounts to help with the Satanism project around the same time and then claimed must be "meat/sock puppets".   I mean who on earth would sign up to help contribute to Satanic pages right?  This is absurd.  that Rklawton is the worst and obviously has motives.

TOR/.onion site for TST?

heh, can you get the + "Attachments and other options" to be expanded so people get reply notifications instantly?

Does this site work on mobile.  Ever notice the forum is hosted on "thefriendofsatan".  Can't the robots.txt file kind of hide that under something like forum.thesatanictemple.com or thesatanictemple.com/forum

TST can create a cname record for the "thesatanictemple.com" domain called "forums" pointing to "thefriendofsatan.com". Then you could access the forums with "forums.thesatanictemple.com".
CloudFlare's great for this stuff since they have a free DNS service with DDoS protection included.
Using BootStrap or some responsive website theme would allow it to function on mobile devices properly and help modernize the overall appearance of the site. =)

Thanks.  That's EXACTLY what i was trying to word.

I haven't really touched this sort of thing in the last 5-8 years but all that stuff sounds familiar.  I used to make sites with Wordpress and Joomla (1.5 days) but just got into different things.

The mobile viewing just needs to be fixed.  I know there's a horde of options out there.  I mean, look at slickdeals on your phone or whatever...  open source has come a long way too making it rather easy.

If you'd like to message the TST long as the emails are productive they do respond:

http://thesatanictemple.com/contact-us

link this thread vs. writing a lot.  The people behind that address I'd hope would forward the message to whoever does this sort of thing.

I'll have to look into it! Considering the other Christmas monstrosities I've seen around I also find it fishy.

Not everyone knows how to look up this small fine print detail.  People that know how to find this type of documentation (codes, laws, and so on) are rather as LaVey said "dangerous" to many's existence.  It's harder for people to feed them bullshit.
